Here we have a Leica IIIF 35mm film rangefinder camera with Leitz Elmar Collapsible 50mm F/3.5 lens, Leica lens cap, and case (not pictured).

This camera is in very good cosmetic condition and is without damage, however, it is not perfect. The shutter is sluggish at most speeds, and it is missing a finder bezel. The camera should be considered in need of a CLA (clean, lubricate, and adjust) to bring it to fully functional condition. For this reason it is being sold at a discount.

The lens is excellent with no problems.

Aside from the shutter fault, the camera's mechanical components all work perfectly and feel excellent. The film compartment is free of dust and debris, the pressure plate is excellent, and the viewfinder/rangefinder are clean and clear.

The lens is in great condition. The aperture ring moves perfectly and the aperture iris opens and closes with precision. The glass elements are free of dust and debris and separation and haze and fungus. The filter threads are unmarred, and the lens mounts to the body with precision. The focus action is smooth and precise.

The Leica IIIF is an incredibly advanced mechanical camera that uses Leica Thread Mount (LTM) interchangeable lenses. It was made with exceptional craftsmanship in Wetzlar Germany. It is a gorgeous and exceptionally brilliant camera - the kind of clockwork machine that will last another lifetime.

It will be carefully packaged and shipped immediately.
