The aperture blades are clean and actuate perfectly, and the leaf shutter is dry with accurate shutter speeds. The auto-exposure and metering systems work perfectly, and the film transport mechanism is smooth and precise. 

The Minolta HiMatic 7sII was the final high performance fixed lens rangefinder camera that Minolta produced, and many consider it their best. It uses an incredibly advanced 6 element in 4 group lens that creates extremely sharp and contrasty images. The 40mm focal length is perfect for general photography, street photography, snapshots, and more, and the fast aperture of F/1.7 makes it an ideal camera for low-light and available light photography. Depth of field can be made very shallow with this fast aperture lens, making bokeh and subject isolation possible.
