Developed in the late 1970s by famed Olympus designer Yoshihisa Maitani, the original Olympus XA is a true legend in film photography. Its incredible 6 element/5 group 35mm F/2.8 lens is capable of producing unbelievably sharp images, and the relatively fast aperture allows for easy low-light shooting.

Aperture-priority auto-exposure makes it one of the easiest and quickest rangefinders around. It's tiny, discreet, and perfect for street photography. It is without question one of the best compact cameras in the world, and one that any Olympus or film photography fan should own.

Mechanically this particular camera is perfect. Everything functions exactly as it should. Build is tight and refined, without wear or damage. All levers, dials, switches, and knobs actuate exactly as they should.

The viewfinder is clean and clear, the framelines are bright and vivid, and the rangefinder patch is crisp and sharp. The film compartment and battery compartment are clean and free of dirt, damage and corrosion. The lens is perfect, with no marring, balsam separation, fungus, haze, or cleaning marks. The aperture mechanisms are all perfect, dry, and free of damage. The focus actuation is smooth and precise. Shutter speeds are accurate and correct, and the light meter and exposure system work exactly as they should.
