Here we have a gorgeous Rollei Rolleiflex SL35M 35mm film SLR camera, in black. It comes with a Rollei HFT 50mm F/1.8 fast prime lens and a new battery.

This camera is in beautiful used condition. It is fully functional, and is ready to produce another lifetime of fantastic photos.

The Rolleiflex SL35M is a fully manual camera with a light meter display in the viewfinder. This needle display measures the light entering the lens and rates it against the set ISO of the film loaded in the camera, as well as the aperture of the lens and the shutter speed. Because of this, it is very easy to use this camera. Simply point it at your subject, compose your image, and then adjust either your aperture or shutter speed until the light meter needle is pointed to the center of the gauge in the viewfinder. Take the shot and make a good photo.

The camera also has a film frame counter, self timer, depth of field preview button, and wide open aperture metering. The viewfinder is very bright and vivid, and the focusing screen is interesting in that it has a diagonal split image focusing patch with microprism focusing area.

The cloth focal plane shutter is capable of speeds as fast as 1/1000th of a second, down to half a second, and bulb mode for long exposures.

All dials, levers, switches, knobs, and buttons actuate perfectly and with mechanical precision. The reflex mirror is perfect, the focusing screen is clean, and the mirror box is free of damage and debris. The battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion. The film compartment is clean, the shutter is perfect and precise, and the pressure plate is unmarred. The shutter speeds are accurate and the metering system works exactly as it should.

The pentaprism does show minor dust in the viewfinder typical to a camera of this age. These do not impact operation or usability or image quality. And the blemishes are imperceptible when looking through the viewfinder.

The included lens is a standard 50mm focal length lens from Rollei, the Rollei HFT Planar 50mm f/1.8 fast prime. This lens is excellent at producing bokeh, creates super sharp images even shot wide open, and effectively eliminates ghosting, flaring, and chromatic aberration as well as any lens of its vintage. The focus ring spins beautifully, the aperture ring clicks wonderfully into its detents, and the aperture itself opens and closes as it should. There is no oil on the aperture blades, and the glass elements are clean and free of damage, haze, and fungus.

The Rollei SL 35M uses the Rollei QBM mount, meaning that any QBM mount lens will fit. In addition, the included lens can easily be adapted for use on a digital mirror-less camera.

Essentially this is a gorgeous and perfectly functional example of an amazing full manual Rollei SLR.
