Mechanically excellent, everything here functions as it should. The film compartment, pressure plate, mirror box, battery compartment, focusing screen, pentaprism, and viewfinder are all clean. The dials, knobs, and levers all actuate exactly as they should. The light meter is fully functional, and all shutter speeds are accurate.

The Canon FD mount zoom lens from Sigma is excellent, with no damage or mechanical issues. The glass elements do have some light haze, and for this reason the camera and lens combination are being sold at a discount. Aside from this haze, the lens is free of fungus, balsam separation, cleaning marks, scratches, or other optical aberrations. The aperture blades are oil free and actuate beautifully. The focus ring spins with nice weight, and the aperture ring clicks with mechanical precision.

The AE-1 Program is based on the previous AE-1, but it adds the ability to shoot in Program mode, a huge advantage over the older machine.
