This Nikon SP is cosmetically excellent and works perfectly. 

Mechanically all functions work as they should. The shutter curtains are perfect and the shutter speeds are accurate from the fastest to slowest speeds. The film advance lever actuates smoothly, the film transport works perfectly, and shutter release is snappy and precise. Focus action is smooth and weighty.

All dials, switches, levers, and knobs actuate with precision, just as they should. The film back fits tightly and locks securely, and the pressure plate is unmarred. The main viewfinder is in amazing condition, with clean and clear glass, and bright framelines for 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, and 135mm. The rangefinder patch is nice a visible and aligned very well. The wide angle viewfinder to the side of the main finder for 35mm and 28mm lenses is also in perfect condition.

The included Nikon Nippon Kogaku 35mm F/1.8 W Nikkor C is in perfect condition. The glass is clean and free of scratches, fungus and haze. The aperture blades actuate beautifully and the aperture ring does so as well. The optical coatings are in lovely condition. The filter threads and lens mount area are undamaged.

The Nikon SP is, simply put, the best Nikon rangefinder ever made. It is the most capable and advanced rangefinder the company ever built, and when new it compared very favorably against any other rangefinder camera on the market. It is a gorgeous and timeless machine, and this one is ready to produce another lifetime of fantastic photos.
