Here we have a beautiful condition Canon Canonet GIII QL17. This camera is fully functional and ready to provide another lifetime of fantastic photos.

This camera is in excellent cosmetic and perfect mechanical condition. The aperture blades are free of corrosion, damage, or oil. The glass elements are free of fungus, balsam separation, haze, and scratches. The light meter works as it should, the film advance lever is solid, the quick load functionality works perfectly, as does the self-timer.

The focus ring and aperture rings actuate exactly as they should, and the viewfinder and rangefinder are bright and contrasty. Neither finder shows any haze or fungus.

The camera shows some flaws in that the film advance lever does not lock after advancing the film. This does not impact operation or picture taking, it only means that the user will need to remember not to advance the film unless they've taken a photo. Doing so will result in an unexposed picture. And to be perfect, the end user could replace the light seals (although testing has shown no light leaks as is). For these reasons, the camera is being sold at a discount.

The Canonet G-III is the third generation of Canonet, following the original Canonet and the New Canonet. It is a super compact, coupled-rangefinder with a silent and accurate leaf-shutter. It features shutter-priority automatic exposure mode as well as full manual shooting mode in which aperture and shutter speed are selected.

The G-III features a 40 mm f/1.7 lens with six elements in four groups. This fast apertured lens makes the camera exceptional for street photography, low light and available light shooting. It is incredibly quiet, extremely compact, and highly capable. This combination of traits often leads the Canonet to be called "the poor man's Leica."
