This camera is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The aperture blades are free of corrosion, damage, or oil. The glass elements are free of fungus, balsam separation, haze, and scratches. The light meter works as it should, as does the auto-exposure. 

The focus ring and aperture rings actuate exactly as they should, and the viewfinder and rangefinder are bright and contrasty. Neither finder shows any haze or fungus.

The Canonet 28 is a compact, coupled-rangefinder camera with a silent and accurate leaf-shutter. It features automatic exposure mode as well as manual aperture shooting in flash mode (with flash attached - flash not included).

The Canonet 28 features a 40 mm f/2.8 lens with five elements in four groups. This lens makes the camera exceptional for street photography, low light and available light shooting. It is incredibly quiet, extremely compact, and highly capable. This combination of traits often leads the Canonet to be called "the poor man's Leica." (Though that sobriquet is slightly offensive and dumb...)
