The model here is functionally perfect and cosmetically excellent. There is no damage to the camera body. The Shutter works perfectly at all speeds. The aperture works perfectly as well. The shutter release buttons (both of them) are quick and responsive, and the shutter release cable socket works as it should. The film frame counter works perfectly, and the viewfinder is clean and clear. The film compartment is clean and free of debris and damage. All knobs, switches, levers, and dials, actuate beautifully and exactly as they should.

The shutter count is low - it reads around 150, equaling approximately 1,500 actuations.

The lens is clean and free of balsam separation, haze, fungus, and scratches. Images made through the 105mm Fujinon are gorgeous. Sharpness is unparalleled, clarity and micro-contrast are amazing. The wide angle lens and the panoramic format lend well to a cinematic approach to photography.

There may be no better still film camera for landscapes, architectural photography, and cinematic storytelling. This is because Fuji G617 is a medium format film camera that shoots extremely massive images (6 x 17 centimeters) to create panoramic photos of amazing size. It is one of the most compact cameras available for shooting such large negatives (usually large negatives like these are only possible with big and heavy large format cameras).
