Here we have a Zeiss Distagon T* 18mm F/3.5 ZF.2 wide-angle lens for Nikon F mount 35mm film and digital cameras. It comes with its original lens caps and Zeiss lens hood.

The lens is in excellent condition. The glass elements are free of dust, damage, debris, haze, fungus, separation, and scratches. The aperture blades are perfect and free of oil, rubbing, and damage. The barrel is cosmetically perfect. The focusing mechanism spins with nicely weighted fluidity and the aperture ring clicks into its detents with mechanical precision. 

This is one of the best lenses available for F mount cameras. Zeiss' amazing T* optical coatings do well to eliminate all optical aberrations, such as flares, ghosts, loss of contrast due to direct light, and color fringing. The perfectly formulated optics resolve incredible detail and show amazing micro contrast. 

The super wide 18mm focal length provides an immense field of view, creating images that are vast and full of detail. Zeiss exceptional optical formula does well to control distortion, and when stopped down, the lens produces the sharpest images around. 

It will work equally well on F mount cameras that use film as on today's modern digital Nikon machines.
