This camera is in incredible, like new condition and is in its original presentation box, with matching numbers exterior box, matching numbers warranty card and manuals, and original strap. It is in flawless condition (cosmetically and mechanically) and is ready to produce another lifetime of fantastic photos.

This particular Leica R5 is a very late model example, having been made in the Germany factory rather than the Portugal factory where R5 production took place earlier. I can say with perfect confidence that you will not find a more well-preserved example of this amazing camera for sale anywhere in the world. It was in my (James, shop owner) personal collection for the past year, during which time it shot approximately thirty rolls of film flawlessly.

All dials, levers, switches, knobs, and buttons actuate perfectly and with mechanical precision. The viewfinder is clean and clear, the reflex mirror is perfect, the focusing screen is clean. The battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion. The film compartment is clean, the shutter is perfect and precise, and the pressure plate is unmarred. The shutter speeds are accurate and the shutter works exactly as it should. The camera is perfect.

The metering modes all work perfectly. The auto-exposure systems work perfectly. Film advance and rewind are smooth and fluid. The in-viewfinder information display works perfectly. 

Essentially this is a pristine and perfectly functional example of the best advanced SLR cameras that Leica ever made. It is the lightest and smallest Leica R mount camera, while also offering the greatest number of shooting modes and metering systems in a package so small. It is a gorgeous camera and works flawlessly.
