Here we have a beautiful 35mm film SLR camera from Fujifilm, the Fujica AX-5 with X-Fujinon 50mm F/1.9 prime lens. This camera comes with a new battery installed. It is fully functional and ready to produce another lifetime of fantastic photos.

The camera is in great shape with one exception (the hot shoe was damaged and has been repaired by a previous owner - see product images for details). Other than this blemish, everything functions as it should. The film compartment, battery compartment, mirror box, viewfinder, and pentaprism are all clean and free of dust and debris. The light meter works perfectly, as do the auto-exposure shooting modes. The shutter speeds are accurate in AE and other shooting modes, and the film transport mechanism works as it should.

Cosmetically it is exceptionally nice.

The lens is similarly excellent. The glass elements are free of damage, dust, scratches, balsam separation, haze and fungus. The aperture blades are free of oil and actuate as they should. The aperture ring clicks nicely and the focus ring spins smoothly. The 50m prime lens offers excellent subject isolation and bokeh when shot wide open, and sharpens up beautifully when stopped down.

The AX-5 is an advanced and easy to use camera from Fujifilm. It offers full program shooting with user adjustable controls for depth-of-field and fast shutter speeds. In its normal shooting mode, simply focus on your subject and shoot. The camera will handle the task of calculating exposure and create proper images every shot. The camera also features exposure compensation mode for when the user wants more control over exposure.

When you want more control, use the depth of field or high speed settings. This will shoot at a larger aperture for speed shooting, or at a smaller aperture for capturing more detail over a wide range of distance.

The viewfinder is large, bright and fully informative, showing light meter readings. It also features a focusing patch to allow fast and easy focusing.
