Nikon PC Nikkor 35mm F/2.8 Perspective Control Shift Lens with Both Caps
Here we have a Nikon PC Nikkor 35mm F/2.8 perspective control shift lens with both caps. The lens is in excellent condition and is ready to produce another lifetime of fantastic photos.
The PC Nikkor is a shift lens, which is a lens that is capable of shifting the lens in relation to the film or sensor plane by varying degrees. Here the lens is capable of shifting to a maximum of 11 millimeters. While this does not sound like much, it makes a massive difference in the way buildings and architecture are rendered in the final image.
This type of lens is essential if one is to do any kind of standard architectural shooting. Otherwise, buildings all look as if they're falling away from the camera in the final image. If you're wondering how photographers make buildings look nice and straight, this is it.
The lens is in excellent condition. The glass elements are clean and free of haze, scratches, balsam separation, and fungus. The aperture blades are free of damage and are dry. The focus ring spins beautifully, and the aperture ring (and aperture stop down ring) actuate perfectly. The shift mechanism is smooth and flawless, and the adjuster knob is perfect.
The lens uses Nikon's famous F mount, which means that it's able to mount to nearly every Nikon SLR and DSLR made since 1959. Additionally important, this lens can be easily mounted to today's mirror-less cameras (such as the Sony a7 and Fujifilm's X-series) via inexpensive adapters. If you're unsure if this lens will mount to your camera, just ask, and I'll be happy to help.
This rare specialty lens will be carefully packaged and shipped immediately.
