This lens is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The glass elements are clean and free of fungus, balsam separation, scratches, and cleaning marks. The aperture blades are free of oil and actuate as they should. The aperture ring clicks with mechanical precision, and the focus ring spins with nice fluidity.

This lens is well-regarded by many as being exceptionally sharp at all apertures. Even wide open, it makes very clean images.

The 45mm focal length is perfect for street photography, general purpose shooting, snapshots, action shots, landscapes, architectural shooting, and other standard types of shooting. The fast aperture of F/2 makes it an excellent choice for low-light and available-light photography.

Shot wide open it makes nice, smooth bokeh (like many of Minolta's lenses), and stopped down it makes incredibly sharp images with no distortion, chromatic aberration, or other optical aberrations.

While naturally able to fit on any SR Mount camera, it's also notable that this fantastic lens can be used on modern digital cameras. A variety of glass-less adapters allow this lens to be used on modern 4/3, Leica M-mount, Micro 4/3, Sony E-mount and Samsung NX-mount digitals.
