Here we have a beautiful condition Leitz Wetzlar R Mount 21mm F/4 Super Angulon wide angle lens for Leica R mount cameras. This rare condition lens comes with a rear lens cap. It is a three cam (3 cam) lens, so it will fit on every Leica R mount camera (from the first Leicaflex to the final Leica R9).

The glass elements are pristine and free of scratches, balsam separation, haze, and fungus. The aperture blades are free of oil and actuate beautifully. The focus ring spins wonderfully with perfectly damped resistance, and the aperture ring clicks into its detents with mechanical precision. The filter threads and lens mount are in unmarred condition.

The Leitz Super Angulon-R 21mm F/4 is a fantastic wide angle lens which provides excellent images with incredible character. It is one of the premier wide angle lenses for the Leica R system. It offers exceptional sharpness at all apertures, even wide open. The lens produces exceptional micro-contrast, further bolstering the stellar look of images it makes. Leitz' optical coatings do well to completely eliminate chromatic aberration and other optical anomalies.

This is the three cam version, which means it will naturally mount to all Leica R mount cameras (Leica SLRs) and work perfectly as intended. These cameras include the original Leicaflex, the Leicaflex SL, the Leicaflex SL2, and the electronic Leica R series including the R8 and R9.

This lens can also be used easily on modern digital cameras, including mirrorless cameras from Fujifilm, Sony (such as the a7 and a9), and on Leica's own mirrorless cameras. This is achieved by way of simple adapters.
