Minolta AF Zoom 70 - 210 mm F/4 Macro Focusing Zoom Lens For Minolta and Sony A Mount "Beer Can" with Front and Rear Caps
Here we have a rather legendary Minolta lens, the Minolta AF 70-210mm F/4 macro focusing zoom lens for A mount cameras (which include Minolta's autofocus cameras and Sony's newer A mount cameras).
The 70-210mm F/4 by Minolta is well regarded as being among the finest telephoto zoom lenses of its era. It uses impeccable optics combined with Minolta's legendary coatings to create images that are amazingly sharp, contrasty, and reasonably punchy. The lens is built to an incredible standard of robustness; this is a heavy duty lens that's solid as a rock.
The fast fixed aperture of F/4 allows for exceptional bokeh, with extremely fine and dynamic qualities that make it among the best blur-makers in the business. The gradual nature of its blending from in- to out-of-focus areas of a shot make it highly desirable.
Macro focusing capabilities allow the shooter to capture images at very close distances.
This particular example of this lens is in fantastic condition. It is among the best preserved examples we've encountered, and everything looks fantastic and works as it should.
There are no points of damage cosmetically or mechanically. The barrel is in perfect condition, as is the lens mount, filter threads, etc. The glass is clean and clear with no marks, scratches, fungus, or optical coating problems. The aperture blades are snappy and free of oil, and the AF mechanism works flawlessly.
The focus ring spins as it should, and the zoom actuation also works perfectly.
This lens will naturally mount to any Minolta or Sony A mount camera. It can be used with ease on any DSLR with the A mount, or used on any mirrorless camera through the use of readily available adapters.
